BSD Students

Dear Parents,

Last week, 44 BSD students between Year 9-13 began their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) training on campus. To earn this award students have to commit hours of their personal time into developing a new skill, improving their physical health, volunteering outside of school hours, and going on an expedition.  Our students are currently training for a camping trip where they will be responsible for everything from navigating maps, setting up tents and cooking their own meals. This prestigious award develops the whole student in a fun and enriching experience outside the classroom. If you would like to volunteer to assist the DofE team in BSD, or would like to explore running the DofE award in your school, please reach out to your Principal. BSD is an Independent Award Center and can assist you.

The theme of 2022's World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'. At ISG we care about the mental and emotional wellbeing of our students as much as we care about their physical health and academic growth. If you have any concerns about your child please reach out to his/her counselor.

On November 16, 2022 BSD will host an Open House event for prospective students and parents. During this event parents will be able to tour the campus, meet with the Principal and Admissions Team, and ask questions. We encourage you to share this information with your friends and family. For now, please save this date and more details will be shared as the event gets closer.

Best wishes,

Michael P. Mack
