Job Description
The position is primarily responsible for managing and delivering lessons according to the lesson plans developed by regular teachers, in the absence of regular teachers.
The successful candidate will be expected to:

Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)

Deliver lessons to students as outlined in lesson plans developed by regular teachers

Motivate students to learn and participate in the classroom during lessons
-
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities

Attend DBGS staff meeting if required
-
Supervise students outside classrooms if required
-
Coordinate with DBGS substitute teacher coordinator for DBGS classroom expectations and emergency protocols

Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times

Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher, Key Stage Leader, Head of Primary or Principal
The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree

An excellent command of English, both verbal and written
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
-
Previous experience working in a classroom or as a substitute teacher
-
Experience with Google Suite/Microsoft Office
Skills

Highly developed classroom management skill

Maturity to handle a range of situations
