Position Description
Summary
ISG Jubail seeks a dynamic K-12 EAL Teacher with a passion for helping students achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have experience inspiring students to become conscientious and compassionate thinkers and global citizens. This person would demonstrate a commitment to collaboration around student needs. ISG Jubail has a strong sense of community. The successful candidate would be committed to contributing to the whole school community beyond the confines of the Learning Support program. Position Duties

Specifically with regards to EAL, the successful candidate will be able to effectively:
- Develop and deliver in class support and pull-out services to best meet the needs of students.
- Ensure continuity of learning and appropriate scaffolding of material.
- Support appropriate accommodations and modifications for students through collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists.
- Teach self-advocacy skills needed to become an independent learner.
- Collaborate with the counseling team, administrators, and classroom teachers to develop and refine the referral/identification process for those with learning challenges.
- Identify and administer appropriate assessment(s) to assess students’ progress toward goals in a collaborative manner.
- Inspire students to actively engage in, and reflect on, the learning process.
- Deliver professional learning and training opportunities to teaching staff.
- Create an environment where students can comfortably learn, communicate, grow, and develop their passions.
- Be an advocate for elementary, middle school and high school students.
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues and parents to design and implement individualized support plans and learning strategies.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of interdisciplinary curriculum documents.
- Share interests and passions with students through the after-school program.
Qualifications and Knowledge
The candidate must have:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.

- Supporting students academically in an international context.
- Leading and inspiring elementary, middle- and high-school students to be informed and inspired community members and leaders.
- Organizing student projects and performance tasks.
- Documenting curriculum according to Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
- Designing standards-based programs.
- Collaborating in a professional setting with large and small groups of colleagues.
- Leading groups of students and faculty.
- Conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Teaching multi-sensory educational strategies to improve sensory, perceptual, kinesthetic, executive functioning skills, communication, cognition, and social/emotional development.
