Summary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic High school physics Teacher, who will be a key member of the department and will be responsible for delivering the HS curriculum.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum
  • Deliver an active, hands-on, and student-centered program to promote learning in science courses especially physics/ AP physics for high school level students
  • Maintain student’s attendance records, grades, and other required records
  • Supervise students' laboratory work
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
  • Assist students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class
  • Observe, monitor, and record student progress
  • Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory work, and assignments
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

Experience

  • Prior experience as a high school Physics teacher is preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Experience delivering a program according to the precepts of the Common Core Standards, but within an international context

  • Sound knowledge of physics for high school level
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral
  • Highly-developed classroom management skill
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Maturity to handle a range of situations
