Celebrating Success at the Francophonie “Dictée” Competition!

We’re proud to share that British School Dhahran achieved 2nd place in this year’s Francophonie Dictée Compétition, organized by the French Embassy and presented by Alliance Française! 

The dictée is a classic French language competition, similar to a spelling bee, where students listen to a spoken text and must write it out perfectly, testing their spelling, grammar and listening skills all at once.

This year’s event, held on Monday, April 21, at Saudi International School (SIS), brought together nine schools and 80 students. Three enthusiastic BSD groups proudly represented our school, showcasing their impressive language abilities and love for French. This fantastic result reflects the success of teaching and learning in our classrooms.
