ASD’s Track Team's Impressive Season and Achievements

American School Dhahran’s track team has had an outstanding season, highlighted by two major events that showcased the dedication and growth of our athletes. The journey began in December at the ISG Jamboree, where our team delivered inspiring results. Since then, the squad has grown both in numbers and skill, and it’s been incredible to witness the development of each athlete in their respective events.

Led by Captains Calvin Law and Avery Czuba, both our JV and Varsity teams soared at the recent NESAC Track meet hosted by Duncrest American School in Dubai. The event, which took place this past weekend, saw our athletes competing with heart and passion, earning us the prestigious Sportsmanship Award.

There were several standout individual performances that deserve recognition:

  • A middle school student claimed gold in both the JV Girls High Jump and Long Jump.
  • Another middle school student brought home gold in the JV Boys Shot Put and Long Jump.
  • Our youngest athlete stole the spotlight with an incredible performance. The middle school student earned gold in both the 3km and 1500m races and finished 3rd in the JV Girls 800m, earning cheers from the crowd for her remarkable determination.

While these individual victories were impressive, it was the collective effort of our entire team that helped secure 4th place overall at the NESAC meet.

We are proud of all our Scorpion athletes. Their hard work, spirit, and teamwork were truly on display, and I am confident they will return next year even stronger, ready to claim more medals and put our team on the podium once again.

GO SCORPIONS!
