A group of passionate educators from the International Schools Group (ISG) recently participated in the NESA 2025 Learning Futures Summit, held on April 5-6 at the American Community Schools of Athens, Greece. This year’s event focused on two important themes: Conscious Citizenship and Digital Literacy, encouraging educators from across the region to explore how schools can adapt to the evolving needs of today’s learners.
Raazia Ali, middle school math teacher and head of the middle school mathematics department at American School Dhahran, made a significant impact at the summit by presenting a hands-on session titled, “Future-Ready Teaching: Leveraging AI for Holistic Education.” In her session, Raazia shared strategies for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with tools such as Google Suite to streamline workflows, foster creativity, and support student wellbeing. With her extensive background in data science, IB education and mathematics instruction, Raazia inspired attendees to explore how AI can drive critical thinking and create more personalized learning experiences for students.
Alongside Raazia, Marissa Archie, assistant principal of elementary at American School Dhahran, and Uzma Ahmed, ISG’s professional development facilitator, participated in the Advanced Adaptive Schools seminar. This seminar provided both educators with in-depth strategies for building resilient, collaborative school communities.
The NESA 2025 Learning Futures Summit offered more than just professional development—it was a space for educators to connect, reflect and reimagine the future of education. ISG’s representation in both learning and leadership roles highlights our ongoing commitment to empowering educators, inspiring innovation and preparing students to thrive in an ever-changing world.
We are incredibly proud of Raazia, Marissa, and our ISG colleagues who represented ISG with excellence at the summit. Their dedication to lifelong learning and educational transformation continues to drive progress within our school community and beyond.
