Middle School Social Studies Students Create Their Own Countries

Our middle school social studies class, students took creativity to the next level by creating their own countries!

They learned how governments are established and created their own systems, complete with engaging flyers and presentations. Each group had the challenge of convincing their peers—and our elementary students—to 'move' to their new nations through creative conversation and leadership skills.

This innovative project not only teaches important concepts about governance but also gives our younger students a glimpse of what’s ahead in middle school. It was a fun and interactive way to develop students’ communication and leadership skills.
