Final Art Exhibition Highlights Talents of ISG Jubail High School Students

High school Visual Arts students, guided by Mrs. Madiha Qamar, recently presented their final art exhibition, a culmination of their artistic exploration and personal expression. Each piece reflected their unique perspectives, creative growth and technical skills. Blending cultural influences, historical references and contemporary practices.

The exhibition featured a range of works, including ceramics, paintings, mixed media and mosaics. One standout piece was a slab-built pottery tray, broken intentionally into thirds to symbolize resilience and the passage of time. Engraved with paisleys and textured details, its matte, earth-toned glaze evoked the heritage of desert landscapes, while its form conveyed a sense of grounding.

Another highlight was a series of glass mosaics and geometric compositions. The students explored the balance between structure and abstraction, using colors and forms to create dynamic patterns that celebrated both tradition and modernity.

Inspired by a visit to Ithra, students created a mixed-media piece combining India ink, watercolor inks and colored pencil to depict a figure in motion. The fluid strokes and soft hues symbolized the pursuit of dreams, balancing fragility with strength.

One of the most thought-provoking works, titled Replay of a Memory, interpreted the cyclical nature of experience through abstract shapes and bold contrasts. Inspired by Kandinsky’s work, the piece used movement and rhythm to represent the evolution of memories over time.

The exhibition displayed the students' talent and demonstrated their ability to use art as a medium for personal expression and cultural exploration. Congratulations to the students for their inspiring work.
