American School Dhahran’s girls junior varsity team won silver in this year’s SAIKAC U16 badminton tournament.

On February 8-9, nine schools from around the kingdom met for some intense battles on the badminton courts.

Hosted at ISG Dammam in the Eastern Province, the competition brought the following schools for a full two days of matches on the courts: American School Dhahran, ISG Dammam, ISG Jubail, The KAUST School, American International School in Riyadh, British International School Al-Khobar (BISAK), Aramco Dhahran, Aramco Abqaiq and Aramco Ras Tanura.

While the U16 girls placed second, the U16 boys placed fourth and the ASD girls B team placed 3rd in plate.

We are very proud of all our athletes who continue to develop and improve their skills year after year and show commendable dedication toward their progress in sports.

Congratulations to all our U16 badminton athletes and gratitude goes to our coaches Alicia and Reteif Gerber and Kat Oefelein who dedicate their time and effort to supporting our students.

Fantastic season! Go Scorpions!
