ASD Hosts Successful 2nd Annual May Madness U14 Basketball Tournament

ASD proudly welcomed 19 U14 teams to our campus for the thrilling 2nd annual May Madness Basketball Tournament this past weekend. Over the course of two action-packed days, a total of 55 games were played, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of young athletes from across the region.

Representing ASD with pride and determination, we fielded three girls' and three boys' teams in the tournament. Our girls' U14 A team emerged victorious, claiming the championship title after a hard-fought battle against Sama Talents Academy. Their stellar performance exemplified the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship that defines our school community.

Behind the scenes, our teams were guided and mentored by a dedicated group of coaches. Robert Townsend, Antonette Briones and Kyran Odendaal led our boys' teams with expertise and passion, while Corey Edmondson, Zeina Jrejie and two U19 students under the supervision of Evan Godsiff provided invaluable support and guidance to our girls' teams.

The tournament was a testament to the talent, resilience, and sportsmanship of our student-athletes, who represented ASD with pride and distinction on the court.

Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship, and a special commendation to our championship-winning girls' U14 A team. We are so proud  of your achievements!
