This year’s ASD WOW Week trip to Switzerland was an unforgettable experience for 20 of our middle school students who had the chance to enjoy the beauty and excitement of Crans-Montana.
Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the students experienced the thrill of skiing on world-class slopes, alongside a variety of other winter activities, including ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing and even bowling!
The trip began with a visit to the Red Cross Museum in Geneva, followed by a walk past the iconic United Nations Headquarters, providing students with a valuable opportunity to learn about global organizations.
The rest of the week was packed with winter fun, but one of the trip’s highlights was a visit to the Gruyere Cheese Factory, where students learned about the history of Swiss cheese and enjoyed sampling various types. They also had the chance to visit the Cailler Chocolate Factory, where they discovered the art of chocolate-making and indulged in plenty of sweet treats.
When reflecting on the trip, our students couldn’t help but say, “It was the best week ever!” Their excitement and enthusiasm are a testament to the unforgettable memories and experiences they gained while exploring the winter wonderland of Switzerland.
