Elementary Reading and Poetry Celebrations

Our elementary students have been learning about the attributes of poetry engaging in reading and writing their poems.

Students created digital flipbooks of their poems and shared them with their peers in a celebration on May 20.  Elementary students also celebrated the completion of their reading book club unit on May 21.
Students created posters that they displayed and described the characteristics of their favorite characters in the books they read.

These reading celebrations are an excellent way of closing topics and units of learning because they bring all of our students’ learning full circle. We love seeing the confidence in our students as they give their presentations with pride.
