ASD Hosts 2025 NESAC Badminton Tournament in Bahrain

American School Dhahran proudly hosted the 2025 NESAC Badminton Tournament in Bahrain, welcoming teams from across the region for a weekend of spirited competition and sportsmanship.
ASD athletes represented their school with pride, earning multiple accolades both on and off the court. The school was honored with the Junior Varsity Boys and Girls Sportsmanship Awards, as well as the Varsity Boys Sportsmanship Award—recognitions that reflect the team's character, respect and dedication throughout the event.
In addition to the sportsmanship honors, ASD athletes delivered several strong performances across the competition. The JV Boys team placed third overall and individual players secured top-three finishes in multiple seed categories, including:
- Third place in JV Girls 1st seed singles
- Third place in JV Girls 2nd seed singles
- Third place in JV Boys 2nd seed singles
- First place in JV Girls 3rd seed singles
- Third place in JV Girls 4th seed singles
- Third place in JV Boys 4th seed singles
ASD extends its sincere thanks to coaches Mrs. Panuela, Mrs. Andrada, Ms. Oefelein and Mr. Smith for their outstanding leadership and commitment throughout the season. Their guidance played a key role in the team’s growth and success.
With a strong showing and meaningful experiences gained, ASD looks forward to building on this year’s achievements in the seasons ahead.
