BSD Participates with a Newly-Formed Team for the SAIKAC Cross Country Tournament

Congratulations to our newly formed BSD Cross Country team who proudly represented our school in both the annual RT Seaside Run and the SAIKAC Cross Cross Country meet in Udhailiyah.

Throughout the season our athletes trained consistently and performed phenomenally BOTH as individuals and as a team. The level of sportsmanship, coachability, camaraderie and work ethic embodied by our athletes typified the meaning of what it is to be a BSD Lion.

In the Ras Tanura event, members of our team tested themselves in their first ever Cross Country meet set on a picturesque 3km and 5km beachside course in RasTanura, Aramco. The main event came just a short week later at SAIKAC tournament in Udhailiyah, Aramco.

This challenging course of sandy hills and undulating terrain, set amongst mini jebels offering no shelter from the punishing sun made for a fitting and welcome challenge for our athletes.

Our team pitted themselves against athletes from nine other schools and most importantly of all, themselves. This ended our first season perfectly with each athlete setting personal bests, further discovering their grit, heart and character and setting the foundations of the team culture for the years ahead.
