A small but mighty group of ISG Jubail middle and high school cross-country runners, coached by Ms. Inge and co-chaperoned by Ms. Meisie Maja, recently competed in the well-attended SAIKAC cross-country running event in Udhailiyah, and their hard work paid off with several impressive awards.
Despite the 3-hour journey each way, the trip was absolutely worth it as the team earned second place for middle school boys in the 3K, second place for high school boys in the 3K, third place for high school girls in the 5K, and fourth place for high school girls in the 5K.
The runners faced a challenging course that included packed sand, soft sand, and jebels, yet their positive mindset and dedication to training helped them rise to the occasion.
Regular training sessions on ISG Jubail's new track and at a local park, combined with their love for the outdoors and support of each other, provided the perfect foundation for success.
The team’s ability to push through the tough terrain and work together as a unit showcased the strength and determination they’ve cultivated throughout the season. This rewarding experience was a true testament to the power of persistence, teamwork and individuality.
