ISG Dammam Student-Leaders Attend SSAC

Representatives from ISG Dammam recently attended the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC), a committee of student leaders representing each of the five schools in the ISG District.

Students met with Ms. Rhonda Norris.  In the meeting, students connected with models of leadership and explored how they could be leaders through a variety of strategies in their schools.  Students then discussed feedback models and how feedback is linked to implementing change in their community.

Each group has been exploring what the district needs to do to improve the schools and what each student can do to improve the ISG school district event.  The discussion will continue as the committees meet with their on-campus leadership in the next few weeks.

At ISG, we know that engaging students in the decision-making process and making that process transparent helps to create a better school community.  It also demonstrates how we live our core values of respect, inclusion and a commitment to act.
