ISG Dammam Students Inspire Courage and Healthy Debate DAMMUN VII

The 7th annual Model United Nations Conference (DAMMUN VII) was held at ISG Dammam between November 7-8, 2024.  Over 350 students from 15 different schools from around the Eastern Province participated in the conference. The conference theme was Tapestry of Traditions, and students were encouraged to wear their traditional country dress to visually demonstrate our region's diverse and beautiful cultures and customs.

For the conference, students were divided into various committees; each was given a relevant social, political, environmental or social issue to debate.  Students were assigned a country to represent, and as they engaged in debates, formed alliances and came to resolutions to best attempt to solve the complex issues they faced.  DAMMUN VII was organized primarily by ISG Dammam high school students, with support from their sponsors, Ms. Suha Dawood, Ms. Saba Tahir and Ms. Betsey Hawkins.

The event was a beautiful reminder that our future is bright as we support and encourage each other to engage in healthy debate, seek to compromise and face the challenges in our world with determination and courage.
