ISG Jubail School Council Elected

We are excited to share the names of the newly elected Jubail School Council members: Carolina Bilbao Sosa, Sidra Wasif, Sadaf Ashfaq, Kristine Tamimi, Sabeen Haqqi, Siham Sabri, Victoria Pou and Inge Krogue.

The School Council at ISG Jubail is a newly established group, run by school leadership for the benefit of the entire school community. Its formation marks an important step in enhancing the collaborative relationship between parents and the school. Through open dialogue and active engagement, the School Council is dedicated to improving various aspects of school life.

While the School Council has not yet held its first official meeting, the group was formed through a parent-led nomination process. Parents communicated their nominations with the school administration, led by Principal Sarah Dugan and Assistant Principal Rebecca Cays, after which a ballot was created. Following a voting process, seven parents were selected by their peers to represent the parent body. These members, alongside the PTO president who will automatically be part of the group, will meet with the school leadership four times a year to discuss ways to improve the school experience for students, staff and parents alike.

Key topics that will be addressed during these meetings include lunch services, where feedback will be gathered from both students and staff to explore potential improvements, as well as transportation, literacy instruction and general facilities updates. The School Council aims to foster a transparent communication channel between the school and parents, ensuring that the needs and ideas of the community are consistently heard and addressed.

During each meeting, specific roles will be assigned within the group, including a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary . This structure will ensure that all discussions are well-documented and updates are shared with the entire parent community. The Council will play a pivotal role in strengthening the ties between parents and the school, contributing to the ongoing success of ISG Jubail.
