As we prepare to close the year, we are pleased to say that despite the setbacks of COVID-19, the progress on the construction of the new campus has remained on track. At the beginning of December, we marked 60% of actual progress completed on site, in terms of the project schedule. We are currently still on target to achieve the project completion date.
Over the last three months, work on the site has ramped up significantly, with many tasks running in parallel. The construction site is truly a hive of activity. The key task currently underway is the installation of the aluminum frames for the windows and doors in all buildings, which is necessary to make the buildings weather tight. The MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and finishing work are both progressing well, with these activities being closely monitored to prevent any delays.
The superstructure for the changing rooms and reception room for the swimming pool is complete. The swimming pool specialist company can now move forward with installing all of the MEP work in order to finalize the construction phase of the swimming pool.
The contractor is making good progress with the groundwork of the site, with key areas at present being the carpark area, the MUGA (multi-use games area) play courts and the sports field area.
