Summary
The Social Media and Technology Coordinator is a key member of a dynamic team serving the office of American School Dhahran. The position is primarily responsible for managing ASD technology & social media and maintaining a close working relationship with ISG Technology Department.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:
- Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
- Provide administrative assistant support to the Principal and Assistant Principals
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG Technology department policies, practices and procedures
- Manage students family school accounts
- Manage technology budget
- Manage technology inventory
- Manage software subscriptions
- Help staff and students with technology queries
- Liaise with ISG technology helpdesk
- Manage staff and student printing account
- Manage ASD social media accounts
- Manage ASD website
- Manage ASD Bulletin
- Be part of safety and emergency team
- Take initiative in prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met and the overall administrative function of the school runs smoothly
- Respond to urgent requests
- Exercise reasonable judgments
- Maintain communication and working relationship with all stakeholders
- Provide customer service , meet informational needs of ASD stakeholders (staff, students, parents and ISG personnel)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and the Assistant Principals
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computing or information technology
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the use of technology, social media, and website
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
- Experience in technology and social media coordinator roles (preferred)

- Excellent command of English, both written and oral
- Highly-developed organizational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Maturity to handle a range of situations
