Summary

The Social Media and Technology Coordinator is a key member of a dynamic team serving the office of American School Dhahran.  The position is primarily responsible for managing ASD technology & social media and maintaining a close working relationship with ISG Technology Department.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Provide administrative assistant support to the Principal and Assistant Principals
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG Technology department policies, practices and procedures
  • Manage students family school accounts
  • Manage technology budget
  • Manage technology inventory
  • Manage software subscriptions
  • Help staff and students with technology queries
  • Liaise with ISG technology helpdesk
  • Manage staff and student printing account
  • Manage ASD social media accounts
  • Manage ASD website
  • Manage ASD Bulletin
  • Be part of safety and emergency team
  • Take initiative in prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met and the overall administrative function of the school runs smoothly
  • Respond to urgent requests
  • Exercise reasonable judgments
  • Maintain communication and working relationship with all stakeholders
  • Provide customer service , meet informational needs of ASD stakeholders (staff, students, parents and ISG personnel)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and the Assistant Principals
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computing or information technology
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the use of technology, social media, and website
Experience and Skills

Experience

  • Experience in technology and social media coordinator roles  (preferred)

  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral
