Summary

Sara Village School (SVS) accepts pupils from Reception to Year 6 (4 – 11 years). The school is a member of the International Schools Group of Saudi Arabia and follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales. 

The Teaching Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting classroom teachers with the implementation of the curriculum. This post will also involve managing our social media platforms, producing photographs and designing print-ready artwork.

Applicants for this position must currently reside within Sara Village Compound.

 

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly-defined and documented curriculum for students
  • Organise classrooms, work centres, and activity areas
  • Maintain instructional supplies, materials and equipment
  • Demonstrate creativity
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
  • Supervise students during lunch and other break times
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
  • From time to time may be asked to assist with daily hygiene routines
  • Be fluent in English, oral and written
  • Run and manage multiple social media platforms professionally
  • Responsible for implementing social media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic & encouraging product adoption
  • Produce high quality photography/audio/video files as necessary
  • Coordinate activities with ISG staff to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice & cultivating an engaged social media community;
  • Produce, develop and implement social media content daily
  • Work with a wide range of media to produce all photography/illustrations/design/infographics
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience 

  • Previous experience working in a classroom
  • Experience with MS Office/Excel/Google docs
  • Prior experience relevant to the role

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite particularly photo editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
  • Photography skills would be an advantage
