Summary
We’re looking for a dynamic Teaching Assistant, who will be primarily responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with the implementation of delivering the National Curriculum of England.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
- Assist the teacher in the delivery of lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum for students
- Organise classrooms, work centres and activity areas
- Maintain instructional supplies, materials and equipment
- Demonstrate creativity
- Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
- Supervise students during lunch and other break times
- Respond appropriately to the range of individuals needs and abilities within the class
- From time to time, may be asked to assist with daily hygiene routines
- Be fluent in English, oral and written
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes with regards to distance learning if necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher and Head of Department
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- University degree in the subject area of employment (Master’s degree preferred)

Experience:
- Prior experience as a in a classroom
- Experience with G Suite/Microsoft Office
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleagues
- Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings
- Ability to work independently and within a team
