Job Description
The Teaching Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting classroom teachers with the implementation of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)

Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly-defined and documented curriculum for students

Organise classrooms, work centres, and activity areas

Maintain instructional supplies, materials and equipment
-
Demonstrate creativity
-
Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
-
Supervise students during lunch and other break times
-
Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class

From time to time may be asked to assist with daily hygiene routines

Be fluent in English, oral and written

Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal
The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience

Previous experience working in a classroom

Experience with MS Office/Excel/Google docs
Skills

Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
