Summary

The female guard will provide security for the Dhahran campus staff, students, buildings and property. The female guard will help control traffic and be a safety guide to students and staff during busy operational hours at all car parking areas. The guard  will have to work outside in seasonal temperatures as well as inside of buildings. Work is performed during both daylight and night hours. Flexibility and patience are required. The female guard in her role will conduct all searches of female visitors, guests and contractors.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)

  • Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests on Dhahran campus.

  • Facilitate the searching of all female guests, visitors, and contractors entering campus.

  • Adhere to all instruction by the guard supervisor.

  • Follow the ISG guardforce standard operating procedures

  • Understand and perform the ISG guard force emergency response duties - lockdown and fire alarm drills

  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

  • Maintain records i.e. visitor and vehicle logs, incident register.

  • Notify the guard supervisor of any suspicious activities on campus or along its perimeter wall.

  • Prevent access of unauthorized personnel into Dhahran campus.

  • Communicate to the emergency services or the guard supervisor in case of accidents or emergencies

  • Regularly check the operation of the Dhahran campus fire alarm panels.

  • Direct traffic and parking on campus; check vehicles for proper parking authorization; determine if vehicles are parked in restricted areas.

  • Act as a safety traffic and pedestrian guide to the campus car parking areas when requested by the guard supervisor.

  • Provides assistance and security to community agencies using school facilities and after school activities.

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school certificate or equivalent

  • A security guard training certificate

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of basic First Aid at work preferred

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience

  • Experience as a security guard

  • Private security or public police experience preferred including knowledge of school and local laws (including search and seizure)

  • Preferable experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Preferable previous experience working with an international organisation

  • Previous guard force training

  • Preferable experience working in a security position or as a security guard

  • Excellent command of English and Arabic, both verbal and written.

  • Must have a proactive attitude and be a strong team player
