Summary

The PE & Music secretary/ Receptionist will be part of a dynamic Admin Team. The position is primarily responsible for providing secretarial support for the PE and Music Departments, the reception area as well as maintaining a close working relationship with the BSD teachers, ISG schools, District Offices and other outside schools.

 

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Assist with filing, typing, correspondence, and general office duties as required
  • Answer telephone enquiries
  • Greet visitors
  • Respond to the needs and interests of the students and parents 
  • Assist PE and music offices with photo copy needs
  • Help the PE department with the kits, tournaments gate lists, tournaments fees
  • Help in organising tournaments hosted by BSD
  • Help the music department with all the events/ performances conducted by them
  • Create and maintain events calendar for PE & music to be shared with students, staff and ISG District Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and heads of the primary and senior school

Experience:

  • Prior experience to a clerical role is preferable
  • Experience with G-Suite/ Microsoft Office

Skills:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Maturity to handle a range of situations
