We are looking for a Librarian to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a flexible, student-centered and collaborative educator. Teaching responsibilities include coordinating library materials, lessons, and activities associated with curriculum programs and units of inquiry for the ISG Dammam students.  The position requires a highly collaborative individual who enjoys leading small teams and working with teachers from a range of age groups, subject areas, and curricula. 


Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG District organization policies, practices and procedures
  • Assist in planning activities for individual classes
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and maintenance of digital databases and other electronic resources for campus use
  • Collaborate with Learning Staff  in professional development processes and in planning for student learning 
  • Work effectively with teachers to coordinate library skill instruction for individual classes or groups
  • Demonstrate effective teaching practices
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity
  • Deliver an active, hands-on and child-centered and/or young adult-centered program to promote learning and literary appreciation
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times, including student supervision
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities among students
  • Be fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Secondary Assistant Principal, the Teaching & Learning Coordinator, or Head of School
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Teacher certification (Preferred)
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience relevant to the role
  • School library experience (preferred)


  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.

  • Time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
