Summary

International Schools Group, Saudi Arabia (ISG) seeks a Head of Primary for Sara Village School. 

The Head of Primary School is the second tier of leadership and management within Sara Village School.  The post holder will be accountable to the Principal of BSD & SVS.

 

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Responsible for all aspects of the operations of EYFS - KS2
  • Lead colleagues and manage operations in SVS, consequently
  • Responsible for all matters academic, pastoral, social and moral pertaining to both the students and staff of the Primary School
  • Responsible for the effective resourcing of the Primary School
  • Run the Primary School effectively and efficiently, meeting the financial targets agreed with the Principal of BSD & SVS
  • Be the main point of reference for the Principal of BSD & SVS on matters relating to the Primary School,  and a member of the Primary Leadership Team, consequently
  • Report and meet regularly with the Principal of BSD
  • Help to determine policy and contribute to forward planning in a proactive manner, relating to the Primary School and Whole School developments
  • He/she will keep him/herself abreast of developments in the educational field and consider with the Principal, their implications for BSD
  • The Head of Primary School will be a key public figure of the Primary School and of BSD, consequently
  • Attend official functions as needed
  • Make themselves freely available to parents – both prospective and existing
  • Meet with the representatives of employers, as required for admission of students into the school
  • He/she may deputise for the Principal on Whole School matters when the Principal is absent from the school
  • Undertake whatever tasks and timings may be needed to ensure the continual well-being of the organisation, as perceived by the Principal and in cooperation with the ISG Superintendent
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal of BSD & SVS
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Masters or Advanced Degree is preferred
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous senior leadership experience and knowledge of delivering a program according to the precepts of the National Curriculum of England, but within an international context
  • Evidence of already undertaking professional development in school leadership, such as completion of (or in progress) NPQH or equivalent
