Sara Village School (SVS) accepts pupils from Reception to Year 6 (4 – 11 years). The school is a member of the International Schools Group of Saudi Arabia and follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales. 

This teaching position at Sara Village School is to provide support in the primary classrooms throughout the school as part of our excellent educational programme. The post would initially involve covering classes whilst teachers undertake quality CPD in and out of Kingdom, enable us to facilitate our vision to provide teacher training opportunities at Sara Village School and support us in offering more field trip opportunities for the children. This post also forms part of  quality succession planning to prepare for staff leaving Kingdom due to retirement. Whilst based at Sara Village School, this post will also include working at our sister school - The British School of Dhahran.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum for students with learning support needs
  • Demonstrate creativity
  • Deliver an active, hands-on and child-centred programme to promote learning
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times
  • Observe, monitor and record student progress
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual need and ability within a class
  • Be fluent in English, oral and written
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Certification as a teacher
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of:

  • Implementing the National Curriculum for England and Wales in a Primary School Setting 
  • Working in an international setting
  • Prior experience as a Primary Teacher in the UK 
  • Experience with MS Office/Excel/Google docs
  • Good command of English, both written and oral
