Summary

ISG Jubail seeks a dynamic K-12 Assistant Principal with a passion for helping faculty and students achieve their full potential.  The ideal candidate will have experience inspiring students and teachers to become conscientious and compassionate thinkers and global citizens.  This person would demonstrate a commitment to collaboration around student and faculty needs.  An Assistant Principal leads learning and acts as a change agent, able to support teacher growth and transition classroom practice.  Ultimately, our goal is to enrich and support student learning and achievement with direct student engagement, supporting teacher development, and cultivating positive parent and home connections. Job Duties

Specifically, with regards to the Assistant Principal position, the successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Promote a positive culture around teamwork, growth, and learning
  • Distribute leadership, empower faculty and students, and manage and lead change 
  • Effectively manage divisional budgets and whole-school finance
  • Communicate and interact with staff, students, and parents 
  • Ensure that all school policies, procedures, and routines are effective, efficient, and regularly reviewed
  • Work closely with the Principal and administrative team, business services, and counseling
  • Respond to behavioral and disciplinary issues with students, faculty, and parents
  • Create and maintain systems of accountability for student growth and professional practice 
  • Select, orient, assign, develop, evaluate, and retain quality instructional facilitators
  • Create and manage divisional timetables, including successful coordination of events and activities
  • Navigate and model use of educational technology and learning management systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications and Knowledge

The candidate must have:

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in Leadership or equivalent
  • Related advanced study or certifications

 

Experience and Skills

Experience

  • Experience working and collaborating across elementary and secondary levels
  • Experience in an administrative role or with leading teams
  • Leading and inspiring faculty and students to be informed and inspired community members and leaders 
  • Documenting curriculum according to Understanding by Design (UbD) principles
  • Designing standards and inquiry based programs of instruction
  • Collaborating in a professional setting with large and small groups of colleagues
  • Leading groups of students and faculty
