Summary

The Arabic teacher will be part of a dynamic and highly-successful team responsible for delivering the Arabic program (Arabic language, Islamic culture, and Kingdom history) to students (native and non- native Arabic speakers) in elementary school.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)

  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum

  • Have a sound knowledge of Arabic Culture

  • Demonstrate creativity

  • Deliver an active, hands-on and child-centered program to promote learning

  • Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times

  • Observe, monitor and record student progress

  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual need and ability within the class

  • Participate in the planning and goal setting of the program

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

  • Certification as a teacher

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience

  • Prior experience as a classroom teacher

Skills

  • Very good Classical Arabic Language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

  • Computer skills

  • Good command of English, both written and verbal
