Summary

The candidate will be part of a dynamic team in the school Administration. The position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support in regards to Human Resources to the Head of School and Assistant Principals. The position will be the link between the school and the district HR department.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle and process confidential data and matters.
  • Hear and resolve staff complaints
  • File and maintain staff records
  • Submitting requisition requests as required
  • Create a job description that matches the position's need
  • Search for and select CV's from online databases and arrange interview calls or meetings
  • Assist in document collection during the hiring process
  • Follow up on various HR matters with the district
  • Process leave requests and staff absences and submits monthly reports
  • Process payroll cards
  • Be the link between the school and District HR and GRO departments
  • Follow up on staff offboarding process and sending required documents to the district
  • Ensure that all data and personal information is kept confidential and secure
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of ISG policies and regulations
  • Take initiative in prioritizing tasks 
  • Exercise reasonable judgments
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of school or the district
Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field  

Knowledge

  • General understanding of HR Policies and Regulations
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience

  • Experience in working with confidential information
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working within an HR Role
  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

Skills

  • Maturity to handle a range of situations
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent Computer literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Pleasant with others and helpful
