Franco Gerber

"Studying at ISG and living in an international setting provided me with the ability to look at different perspectives before making decisions."

Franco attended three ISG schools: ISG Dammam from 4 to 10 years old, Dhahran British Grammar School (currently British School Dhahran) from 10 to 14 and Dhahran High School (American School Dhahran) from 14 to 18.

Currently, Franco teaches primary and secondary physical education at British School Dhahran (formerly Dhahran British Grammar School). He is also a very proud coach of a badminton team.

Franco studied Education in Human movement Science and Sports management at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He is currently pursuing his Master’s at Plymouth State University (New Hampshire).

“I think all of the schools that I went to were special in their own way. I’m very proud of my time in each of them, but I’d say DBGS and DHS hold a special place in my heart. My experience at school gave me direction. I found my passion in sports and in people. School and sports taught me how to work in group settings and helped me grow up internationally.

Studying at ISG provided me with the ability to look at different perspectives before making decisions. Living in an international setting forces you to take other ideals and norms into account when decisions are to be made. I think that is a strength in university when you find yourself working with others."
