Superintendent's Message

Dear Parents,

As a parent and educator, I can tell you there is nothing more delightful than to see our students walking in our school halls. We took some time to ask our students across the District about their hopes for the new school year. Here is what they had to say.

On Tuesday, ISG Jubail hosted their Elementary Open House and welcomed families into the classrooms to see a glimpse of how teachers present their lessons. It was great to see parents embrace those new methods and engage their children in a few minutes of learning. Please watch a short recap here.

This day is celebrated around the world to remind us of the importance of literacy for a sustainable society. Here is a teacher’s tip if you want your child to read more: Let them see you read more. For many of us, life can get in the way. It’s important however to intentionally carve out some time to let your child see you holding a book and enjoying what you’re reading. What are you reading this weekend?

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that schools across the Kingdom will be closed on September 21 and 22.  I hope you enjoy the long weekend with your families.

ISG is pleased to partner with NESA to offer you a unique opportunity to learn how to effectively manage screen-time, understand technology addiction, and navigate social media. This 3-part Parents as Partners webinar series begins on October 4th and will be delivered by Joy Marchese, Global Education Consultant. Please stay tuned, parent registration links will be emailed to you in the coming weeks. For more information on the webinar, please click here.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the enrollment survey last week. Many of you have shared their experience of what went well and what didn’t, and we are listening. As promised, we are working diligently with our various teams to improve our process for next year, and we will share our updates as they become available. If you haven't already filled out the survey, here is the link.

Best wishes,

Dr. Michael P. Mack
