ISG Superintendent's Message

11 March 2021

Weekly message

Dear Parents,

At ISG, safety is paramount and I prefer to exercise an abundance of caution when it comes to the security and well-being of our community. In light of the security incidents in the Dhahran area on Sunday evening, all staff and students were asked to work from home on Monday.

As you know, we have been bringing limited groups of students back to our schools for assessment. As I also indicated last week, we received a very warm visit from the Ministry of Education to our Dhahran campus.

While the Ministry understands the value of bringing students back on campus and the many benefits to them with in-person assessments, they have indicated in a formal letter that our current plan falls outside their specific requirements. With this in mind, we will not be holding on campus student assessments until further notice. I will continue to work with the Ministry in an attempt to bring students back on campus for assessments.

Given the letter from the MOE this week and changes we will now be making, I will be sharing my Town Hall video after the spring break, so that I can bring you the most up-to-date information.

Finally, I would like to wish all of you a very restful and safe spring break.

Dr. Michael P. Mack
