Superintendent's Message

Dear Parents,

As you may be aware, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced this week that they will be delaying the return of Pre-KG-Grade 6/FS1-Year 7 students to in-person learning. Please note that in light of this announcement, our schools will continue with current online learning arrangements for these grade levels, until we receive further news from the MOE.

This news is very disappointing for our community. Please be assured that I share your frustrations and concerns and we will continue to work towards in-person learning for all our students.

We are aware that at least one other school in our region is planning to offer in-person support sessions for their younger students. So, please continue to check your email accounts for further updates and announcements over the fall break.

The leadership team has received many queries on what action ISG is taking to appeal this decision. I would personally like to thank our Government Relations team, who have worked tirelessly with the MOE since the pandemic began to achieve permissions for students to return. We have also collaborated closely with other schools within the region, to present a united approach to the authorities. This work will continue in force until all of our students are back on campus.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and patience in these very challenging times. I hope that you have a restful break with your families in the coming week.

Best wishes,

Dr. Michael P. Mack
