WOW Week at BSD: Exploring STEM Through Creativity!

This week at British School Dhahran, students had an exciting Week Without Walls (WOW Week), filled with hands-on STEM activities that encouraged creativity and problem-solving.

They built a marble run using cardboard, designing pathways to guide a marble through twists and turns. Another fun challenge involved making a lamb model using plastic bags, wood sticks, and cardboard, showing how everyday materials can be used in creative ways. These activities helped students develop their engineering and design skills while having fun experimenting and building.

Students also explored handcrafts, such as netting, bean art and fabric painting, using different techniques to create unique designs. In another exciting STEM project, they built structures using marshmallows and spaghetti sticks to test their strength and stability.

These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity and critical thinking—important skills in STEM learning. WOW Week was a fantastic way for students to engage in fun, hands-on learning while discovering the power of creativity and innovation!
