Senior School Science Fair

British School Dhahran's Senior School held their annual Science Fair on June 5, 2023.

Every student participated in the fair.  They worked in groups of two and had to conduct an experiment, create a scientific report on the experiment and then present their work on a display board at the science fair.  They had six weeks to prepare and present, with minimal teacher input.

Students presented their work to their peers and parents.  Awards were given by BSD’s Principal, Mr. Bolton, to first, second and third place, as well as best display board, and most original research question. Four honourable mentions were awarded for great work and best Research and Agency, for the group that conducted their experiment and the report with best practice and independence. 

Thanks to Senior School teachers and our laboratory technician Ms. Lina Ahmed, Ms. Hema Kosandar and Dr. Tuna Altay.  Thanks also goes to all the science teachers in the department that stepped up to help during the lessons in the past weeks, Ms. Rida Alayass, Ms. Rola Timani and Ms. Tania Schnetler.

We are very proud of the scientific skills displayed and honed by our students during the fair, and we look forward to next year’s event.
