Our middle school students have been participating in a unit of study on humans in early civilizations and created an exhibit for the rest of the middle school to visit and learn about the concepts, themes and ideas that shaped the early civilizations of human life.
Students were tasked with creating a diorama, an infographic and slides about the early civilization that they studied. Working in groups, students answered questions from their peers and other teachers about how these early civilizations functioned and flourished, from what they ate, how they organized themselves in communities, to an exploration of their physical environment and the challenges they faced to thrive.
They eagerly answered their peers’ questions and it was an exciting and engaging afternoon of learning for our middle school community.
