ISG Wins SHRM Award

ISG wins the silver award for Excellence in Talent Management and Development!

We are very pleased to announce that on November 2, 2023, ISG won the Silver Award for Excellence in Talent Management and Development presented by the Society of Human Resource Management - Middle East and North Africa (SHRM-MENA).

SHRM is the world’s largest HR organization representing 330,000 members worldwide.  ISG is the first school to achieve an award with SHRM in the MENA region.

The STAR (Sustainable and Transformational Recognition) Award honors organizations that exhibit innovative and exemplary practices in staff professional growth, learning and development and skills advancement.

Winners in the same category were: STC and MODON (Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones) won bronze, ISG won silver and Mobily won gold.  ISG competed with 67 organizations from the private and public sectors across the Middle East and GCC regions.

To apply, a rigorous selection process was followed that involved submitting a 22 page written application.  After their initial review process, shortlisted organizations were then required to present their innovative practices with supporting evidence before an independent jury of senior business leaders across the region.

Mrs. Uzma Ahmed, Professional Development Facilitator in the Teaching and Learning Office, received this prestigious award on behalf of ISG at the SHRM-MENA annual conference held in Dubai.

This globally recognized award is a testament to the exceptional work and dedication of all ISG educators across the district who pursue excellence in teaching and learning through ongoing professional growth, assuming teacher leadership roles and collaborating with colleagues to improve their professional practice and improve outcomes for all ISG students.
