Dear Parents,
Tomorrow, we are celebrating Saudi Founding Day! Please click here to see a special message for this occasion.
Earlier this week, 14 ISG students from BSD, ISG Dammam and ISG Jubail participated in the annual Compassion Summit at American Community School (ACS) Amman in Jordan. Five ISG educators also attended and delivered workshops to students from several schools across the region. To support ISG’s mission and strategic goal of inspiring compassionate action, students used design thinking principles to create school action plans that can be implemented in their schools. Students also attended various workshops, engaged in activities with refugee children through a local Collateral Repair Project, participated in connection sessions with students from other schools and visited the Dead Sea. The Compassion Summit was founded by ISG and ACS Amman in 2016, and aims to bring like-minded schools from around the world together to create, enhance and promote greater levels of compassion through committed, compassionate action within our school communities. Students share stories, talk about things that matter, learn from each other and contextualize their role within their communities as leaders of compassionate change.
Last Thursday, ISG Dammam held their annual Spring Carnival which was a fun and engaging event for all students, staff and parents. Everyone came together to enjoy international dances and performances, musical entertainment, games, a haunted house, a color festival, face painting, food and more. ISG Dammam also welcomed Shama Autistic Center earlier in the day to enjoy the engaging activities at the carnival. Congratulations to the students and teachers that worked hard to organize the event and their inspiring efforts to engage all members of our community.
I would like to remind you that school hours during Ramadan will be 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for all ISG students. We will begin operating with the new adjusted schedule on March 19, 2023.
A reminder that schools will be closed February 22 - March 4, 2023. Classes will resume on March 5, 2023.
Enjoy the break.
Best wishes,
Michael P. Mack
