IMPACT Club Launches New Program for ASD Elementary and Middle School Students

The IMPACT Club has kicked off its new program under the IMPACT Elementary and Middle School Chapter, and the first meeting was a huge success!

Students from the elementary and middle school levels had the exciting opportunity to work alongside high school mentors in engaging, purposeful activities. The event began with fun icebreakers, allowing everyone to get to know one another and set a positive, welcoming tone for the day.

Next, the students dove into the Tower Challenge. In the first round, the elementary and middle school students teamed up with high school mentors to build towers, but the real fun came during the second round when the younger students competed directly against the high schoolers. This challenge was a hands-on way for students to practice important skills like planning, teamwork and task delegation. The younger students rose to the occasion, using their creativity and collaboration to outbuild the high schoolers and take home the win—celebrated with snacks and applause!

It was truly inspiring to watch the younger students embrace leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving so quickly. We’re excited about the new program and look forward to seeing what else the IMPACT Club will achieve with this new initiative in the future!
