Earlier this week, 14 ISG students from ISG Jubail, BSD and ISG Dammam participated in the annual Compassion Summit at American Community School (ACS) Amman in Jordan. Five ISG educators also attended and delivered workshops to students from several schools across the region. To support ISG’s mission and strategic goal of inspiring compassionate action, students used design thinking principles to create school action plans that can be implemented in their schools. Students also attended various workshops, engaged in activities with refugee children through a local Collateral Repair Project, participated in connection sessions with students from other schools and visited the Dead Sea. The Compassion Summit was founded by ISG and ACS Amman in 2016, and aims to bring like-minded schools from around the world together to create, enhance and promote greater levels of compassion through committed, compassionate action within our school communities. Students share stories, talk about things that matter, learn from each other and contextualize their role within their communities as leaders of compassionate change.
