Celebrating the Class of 2024: British School Dhahran Graduation Ceremony

On a joyous and pride-filled evening, the British School Dhahran (BSD) celebrated the graduation of 26 outstanding students. The ceremony, a significant milestone in the lives of our graduates, was marked by heartfelt speeches, shared memories and a collective sense of accomplishment.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as families, friends and faculty waited to honour the achievements of our graduates.

The event began with a warm welcome from ISG Superintendent, Dr. Michael Mack, who highlighted the journey filled with choices our graduates will have to make. He emphasized the importance of being kind and compassionate and remembering the legacy that they want to leave behind with their interactions along the way.

BSD’s principal, David Bolton, followed by congratulating the graduates, reflecting on some memorable moments and sharing the immense sense of pride he and the faculty feel for this special batch of students.

The highlight of the evening was the inspiring speeches delivered by the graduates. Their speeches were filled with gratitude and optimism and they thanked the teachers, parents and peers who had supported them along the way. The graduates spoke about the lessons learned both inside and outside the classroom, urging their fellow graduates to carry these values forward into the next chapter of their lives.

Next on the program was a musical segment when one of the graduates shared his talent and skills on the piano.  A surprise was prepared for Mr. Thomas Swords when his students thanked him and honoured him for his many years of service at BSD, and the many memorable moments that have left a profound impression on their lives.

The graduation ceremony was a celebration of the collective achievements of the BSD community. The pride and joy were palpable as each student walked across the stage to receive their diploma, symbolizing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

The evening concluded with a sense of unity and hope for the future. As the graduates tossed their caps into the air, cheers filled the gymnasium. British School Dhahran is incredibly proud of the Class of 2024 and looks forward to seeing the incredible impact they will undoubtedly make in the world.
