BSD U19 Volleyball Teams Participate in SAIKAC Tournament

Congratulations to our U19 girls volleyball team who came in 4th, and the boys team for being named Plate Champions at this year’s U19 SAIKAC Volleyball Tournament.

On November 8-10, the girls’ tournament took place on the same weekend at British International School Jeddah, the boys’ volleyball team played at British International School Riyadh. 

The collective effort and skill displayed by our athletes exemplified the commitment to excellence within our school’s sports program and our athletes' dedication to their training and refining their skills. Well done Lions!

Participating in volleyball not only hones physical abilities but also develops crucial life skills. At BSD, we believe that teamwork, communication and strategic thinking are integral components of the game, and foster camaraderie among the players. The discipline required to balance academics and athletics instills time management skills, and contributes to holistic student development. Additionally, these tournaments serve as platforms for personal growth, instilling resilience and the ability to handle pressure. 

Beyond the medals, these victories underscore the positive impact of volleyball on students, shaping well-rounded individuals equipped with characteristics necessary for success on and off the court.
