BSD BSME Awards 2023

BSD celebrated all of our athletes and our teams' accomplishments at the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) Games Awards Ceremony. There were 28 students who ran the event. They each presented a topic and connected it to their BSME experience. The evening started with a guest speaker, Abdulrahman Alquraishi from Year 10, who competed in the BSME games as a DBGS bulldog in 2019. He shared his experience as a Bulldog and now as a Lion.

The Awards Ceremony consisted of three parts.

Part 1 - PERMAH

Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishments & Health.

Part 2 - Character Strengths

Students described their strengths, and ribbons were awarded to students that portrayed those strengths. All 28 students received an award for this.

Part 3 - Sports Awards

Students watched a video that recapped their sports highlights and awards were handed out for each of the following categories:

• MVP
• Coach’s Award
• Key Stage 2 Sportsman and Sportswoman.
