ASD U19 Boys and Girls Win Gold at NESAC Volleyball Tournament

The ASD U19 Boys and Girls Volleyball teams showcased outstanding athleticism and sportsmanship at the NESAC tournament, leaving a permanent mark on the competition.

The both teams demonstrated skillful plays and collaborative teamwork, and emerged victorious, winning first place in the tournament.

Both achievements speak volumes about the commitment to excellence within the ASD U19 volleyball program and the ISG athletics program as a whole, and reflect positively on the athletes, coaches and the entire school community.

The NESAC tournament served as a platform to celebrate these accomplishments and sponsor a sense of pride and camaraderie among our players.  Congratulations to all our players and coaches Alicia and Retief Gerber, Antoinette Brionis and Celeste Guerrero.

At ASD, we believe that competitive sports at school promote physical health by encouraging regular exercise and instilling healthy habits from a young age. Team sports also foster teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, teaching students how to collaborate toward a common goal.  We believe that along with building resilience, students develop emotional and mental strength as they learn to cope with wins and losses.

The volleyball program is one of many athletic programs at ASD.  We encourage all our students to play and try out, no matter their skill level.
