ASD Students Represent ISG at NESAC Leadership Conference

Ten students from American School Dhahran recently attended the NESAC Leadership Conference, a three-day experiential learning event designed to develop and empower young leaders from across the region. The conference brought together students and adult sponsors from member schools to collaborate, exchange ideas, and build leadership skills through engaging workshops and networking opportunities.

The ASD delegation proudly presented on the ISG Best Buddies program, a student-led initiative that promotes inclusion and friendship among students of all abilities. Their presentation aimed to inspire other schools to launch their own chapters and foster a more inclusive school culture.

In addition to student-led sessions, participants attended keynote talks by prominent leaders including Tarek Sultan, CEO of Agility; Henadi Al Saleh, Chairperson of Agility; and Karen H. Sasahara, U.S. Ambassador to the State of Kuwait. These sessions offered valuable insights on leadership, innovation and global citizenship.

Both students and faculty sponsors left the conference energized and equipped with new ideas. As a next step, they are working on action plans to bring what they learned back to ASD and implement positive change within the school community.

ASD is proud to support student leadership and provide opportunities for learners to grow, connect and lead with purpose.
