ASD AMC Math Competition

The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) was held at ASD on Tuesday, November 14. This year, we have 23 enthusiastic students from Grade 9 and 10 participate in the AMC 10, and 13 students from  Grade 11 and 10 participated in AMC 12.

There are several advantages for students participating in this competition. Not only do they experience a competitive environment and are able to challenge their skills, but they are also provided with an opportunity to develop positive attitudes toward analytical thinking.

Their scores will be shared in their college application forms, which are highly regarded by Ivy League institutions such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon University and CalTech.

All students walked away with a certificate of participation. Results will be announced in January 2024, and students who do well will be invited to the prestigious stage 2 of the tournament, which is the American Invitational Mathematics Examination.
