Summary
The HR Specialist is a fundamental and core role within the HR department and is responsible for the key activities required to support all stakeholders. The responsibilities and duties are all aligned with giving accurate and timely advice to all site employees. This role is to assess, anticipate and support all HR-related needs within the organization in line with the standardized agreed processes and regulations.
Position Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG District organization policies, practices and procedures.
- Conduct provisional reviews for all prospective employees.
- Prepare work permits for dependent employees.
- Liaise with the MoE as required regarding work permits and Ajeers.
- Process monthly payments for Ajeers.
- Ensure that required MoE and MoL documents are kept updated as per their requirements.
- Renew work permits for current employees.
- Assist new hires with the required documents and guidance on attestation/apostille of their degree.
- Issue Ajeers for new and current employees.
- Ensure all work permit files are kept up to date both digital and hard copy.
- Assist new employees with registration of national address through Saudi Postal (SPL) - Register for national address.
- Assist new international hires with onboarding requirements by setting up accounts and arranging (medical test, Absher, bank accounts, driving license etc).
- Assist staff with newborns to obtain required documentation.
- Communicate with international employees regarding drivers license renewals, car registrations, car inspections etc.
- Track iqama status for dependent hire.
- Prepare documentation for new international hire and families arrival to KSA.
- Assist offboarding international employees with police clearance.
- Assist offboarding staff with transferring their car, if other documents are required.
- Coordinate with the vendor to prepare and complete translation documents as required.
- Create and maintain workflow check sheets.
- Provide support to ISG employees as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your manager and or administrator.
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (is preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of local regulation with regard to the nature of business.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
- Previous experience in HR or Government Relations.
Skills
- Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
- Strong knowledge of national regulations related to HR matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
